Amity redefined...

AMITY : tracing back its origin from French, a word meaning friendship or harmony between individual or groups, is just very apt to define the ambiance of the Amity University campus.

First day in the campus, with hearts racing thousands time faster than normal we made our way through the huge campus to our college. Terms like ragging and seniors were haunting us and it was not until when we were greeted by our seniors in a very very friendly and cordial manner we breathed a sigh of relief. AMITY IS A RAGGING FREE CAMPUS said the large sign-boards all along the campus, en-route to our college, still we felt the chances of being ragged every now and then. But our lovely seniors and their extremely subtle approach towards us made us comfortable and it was no sooner that we found ourselves enjoying in their company, learning new things about the university and laughing out loud on their experiences. A problem here and we had a whole lot of them to solve them for us. Things were even better as we had the loveliest faculty with us...for us.

Just one year at Amity and it has already begun feeling like a second home where most of the day hours are spent. A perfect set of faculty, lovely classmates, batch mates and beautiful people all around, fully air conditioned classrooms, cafeterias and not to forget the mini-mall of our campus- the H-block which accommodates a Domino's outlet, a cafe coffee day, Tekson's bookshop, P3 stationary center, a departmental store, a new dosa plaza, ice-cream outlet, Amul outlet and a L'oreal's unisex parlour just to name a few are some of the things that have contributed a lot towards building of a bond with Amity.

Now it's almost time for a fresh new batch to join the campus as we eagerly wait to welcome them. The preparations are at their best and the excitement is soaring high. Faculty are trying every possible mean to make the freshers adjust well to the new atmosphere and we, just seniors, are all set to help them out at of any problems or unfavorings situations.

We got a very warm welcome to the campus last year and we promise to extend the same to the freshers.... We welcome you dear juniors and would love to co-operate with you. Hoping to seeing you all soon on campus...

  1. I must compliment you purwa for writing on Amity and its life as perceived by you so far. Am sure you had a great experience and look forward to many moments that you may cherish in times to come. I liked your writing style- simple , crisp and audience oriented ie FRESHERS. Use of vocabulary is apt and sentence structure is also not confusing. Keep up the good work n do write to add a feather to your cap in future..who knows you may become a famous writer. ALL THE VERY BEST...N GOD BLESS..TC :)
